about
This song is a Christmas dream come to life. It was inspired by my days of a single guy out on Christmas Eve with some of my best friends hanging at a local bar. I thank everyone for their contributions to making this dream become a reality. For every download, a portion of the proceeds will go towards being able to afford some gifts for less fortunate kids in the area and or kids in a hospital in the area around Christmas.
Many thanks to my wife and kids for letting me complete this crazy project that took over two months.
Thank you to the Christmas Coal Miners and dealing with me through this entire crazy process. May this become a Christmas Classic for many years to come!

Coal for Christmas
An Original Christmas Song by Tommy Byrne/ASCAP Tommy Too Tall Productions/ASCAP
(Intro)
I’m getting coal for Christmas.
No one to kiss under that mistletoe.
(Spoken)
So guess where I’m headed on Christmas Eve?
(Chorus 1)
I'm getting coal for Christmas.
Santa means business this year.
I'm getting coal for Christmas.
Stealing all the cookies and the reindeer.
I'm getting coal for Christmas.
Time to spread some Christmas cheer.
(Verse 1)
We’re gonna fly around the world
Presents for the good boys and girls
Make a pit stop at the shore
Put Comet on a tilt a whirl
Then head over to the beach
And give ole Snooki a twirl… Give her a twirl, Dancer!
(Spoken)
Watch where you’re pointing those antlers, Dancer!
Take it easy on him there baby!
(Horn section)
(Chorus)
I'm getting coal for Christmas.
Santa means business this year.
I'm getting coal for Christmas.
Stealing all the cookies and the reindeer.
I'm getting coal for Christmas.
No time for a ghost to appear.
(Verse 2)
We’re all having a good time.
Hanging at the local bar.
If you’re looking for me Santa.
Don’t gotta go too far.
All alone on Christmas.
Scrooge is playing lead guitar… Go you Old Miser!
(Guitar solo)
(Chorus 3)
I'm getting coal for Christmas.
Santa means business this year.
I'm getting coal for Christmas.
Stealing all the cookies and the reindeer.
I'm getting coal for Christmas.
Time for one last round of beer.
(Verse 3)
The night’s coming to an end.
Bartender pours a shot for you.
I look over at the glass.
And say baby, but from who?
Standing right across the bar.
It's Mrs. Claus dressed in blue.
(Spoken)
You’ve been a bad bad boy!
(Outro)
Coal for Christmas.
Coal for Christmas (choir)
Only coal for Christmas.
Coal for Christmas (choir)
I know it’s coal for Christmas.
Coal for Christmas (choir)
Nothing but coal for Christmas.
Coal for Christmas (choir)
I’m getting coal for Christmas.
Kissing Mrs. Claus under the mistletoe!
(Spoken)
Daddy, daddy, wake up! Santa was here!
